Jacobs School of Music

Wednesday, October 01, 2025

Please join me in congratulating Dean Abra Bush and the Jacobs School of Music for their role in the performance of The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clayat the Metropolitan Opera of New York.

The show is co-produced by the Jacobs School and the Met. Its world premiere was at IU Bloomington’s Musical Arts Center in November 2024. This new opera is based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Michael Chabon.

The New York production runs through October 11 and features performances by doctoral student Jonathan Elmore, trombone professor Paul Pollard, alumnus Steven Warnock, and alumna Cadie Bryan. This represents a special partnership between the renowned opera company and our campus.

Congratulations to the Jacobs School of Music, Dean Abra Bush, and the entire Jacobs team!
