Students attending in-person orientation components in June and July are encouraged to stay on campus as it’s a great way to meet other students, enjoy some casual time, and easily participate in all of our evening events. You can check in as early as the day before your program and stay as long as a day after your program.
Once students have a confirmed orientation reservation they can make their reservation for on-campus orientation housing. This link is also in the confirmation page in the student’s Orientation Portal.
The cost of housing on campus during orientation is $46 per night and will be billed to the student's IU bursar account by IU Housing after their stay. There is no obligation to keep this reservation, and the student will not be charged unless they check into housing during orientation. Details about housing check-in will be in the students' pre-program communications.
During August and January Orientation Programs, we are unable to offer specific orientation housing on campus. Students with on-campus housing contracts will be able to arrange with IU Housing to move directly into their assigned residence center (some fees may apply). Fees and instructions will be provided prior to orientation and based on IU Housing policies.
