During her time at IU, Samantha Academia built confidence in her future as a nurse. In her first year, she practiced essential clinical skills, from taking blood pressure to starting IVs, at the IU Nursing Learning Resource Center, a realistic and controlled hospital learning environment.
She gained hands-on experience caring for patients across various settings during her clinical rotations and developed a deeper understanding of healthcare by collaborating with other disciplines. Upon graduation, Academia secured her dream job as a cardiovascular nurse, where she’s excited to work closely with doctors and be at the forefront of medical advancements.
