You have to satisfactorily complete secondary school and provide the necessary documentation (listed on this page) in order to remain at Indiana University past your first semester.
Undergraduate transcripts and secondary school credentials
When you apply to IU Bloomington, you need to submit academic records to show your performance at your secondary school. To complete your application, you only need to upload a copy of your official academic records. These need to include an original stamp or seal.
If the original is not in English, also include a literal translation certified by the academic institution as being complete and correct. Translations may be photocopies or notarized unless otherwise noted.
Note: You need to bring both types of documents with you to Bloomington. You need to provide official documents of all your academic records to our office within your first four weeks of classes.

Enrollment
If you are admitted, you will need to bring a physical version to Bloomington of all the academic records you upload (in addition to a final record showing you completed secondary school). Incoming freshman international students are required to provide official academic records and final secondary school transcripts no later than four weeks after the beginning of their first semester.
If your final academic records were sent to you in a sealed envelope, you will need to keep them in the envelope for OIS to consider them official. Transcripts must include a seal or stamp indicating they came from the issuing body (we need to be able to verify the documents are official). All documents must be official and original—no photocopies or notarized copies.
If your secondary school is in the U.S. or Canada, the school must send the records directly to our office.
English translations must be provided for all non-English language documents.
You need to bring both types of documents with you to Bloomington. You need to provide official documents of all your academic records to our office within your first four weeks of classes.
Demonstration of English proficiency
You will need to submit evidence that you meet our English proficiency standards. How you demonstrate your proficiency will determine what you need to submit. For example, if you use scores from a test, you will need to submit those. Your documentation needs to be from within the last two years in order to be valid.

You will also need to provide your final year transcript.You will need to submit the original, official documents issued by your school or issuing body. If these are in a language other than English, you will also need to submit an English translation. Translations may be photocopies or notarized unless otherwise noted.
